8 months in Australia

We just arrived in Singapore, end of our journey in Australia, and beginning of our trip in South East Asia. But before talking about Asia, we would like to do a little summary of our 8 months in Australia.

In 8 months, we’ve ride our car during 10000 kms (and not really new cars …), we’ve tried all the flying companies during 7 flights all over the country. Spent 27 hours in the mythic train “The Ghan”, worked for pizzeria, brewery, luxurious hotel, and less luxurious hotel, grocery, pub and laboring, during almost four months working from 14h a week to 70h a week.

We’ve learned to do things by ourselves, find an accommodation, find a work, a way to move around, how to bargain, how to cook (for the masculine part of the couple !), we’ve learned a lot on ourselves and on the others and we’ve discovered a real envy to travel. 

We wish that with our articles and our pictures you will want to discover this country and his folks (if you’re not already in it!). And that you will keep in touch with us and follow our exciting trip in Asia and why not meet us there (Marikoooooo !).

If we had to classify our favorite spots, it should be :

- Coral bay, white sandy beaches, coral with a really beautiful marine life.
- Tasmania, with wild breathtaking landscapes
- Karijini NP, stunning waterfalls, natural pools, gorges.

We really loved New Zealand too, but we didn’t stay enough time, we will be back !

We loved the Tongariro National Park with the 8 hours long hiking in the middle of the Lord of the Ring’s Mordor in the north island, the fjordland and the glaciers in the south island.

Of course a lot of others place were just incredible, but here are our favorites.

We just regret that we haven’t been to the north of Cairns, we haven’t seen the Whale Sharks in the Ningaloo Reef and we couldn’t carry all our new friends in our luggages (with 2 or 3 kangaroos as well).
